Collins celebrate 50th Wedding Anniversary

Bill and Mary Ann Collins, 1988 Perry Highway, Volant, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary during a summer trip with their children and grandchildren touring the western national parks recently.
During their stay at a lodge in Big Sky, Mont., their children surprised them by inviting their recently retired pastor, Tom Gomola, who currently lives in the Deer Lodge, Mont. area, to preside over a re-affirmation of their vows, followed by a catered dinner and dancing under the Montana stars.
The former Mary Ann Sarnataro and Bill Collins were married Aug. 26, 1967, in Grove City.
Both Bill and Mary Ann most recently retired as owners of the H & R Block office in New Wilmington, but Bill spent his earlier working years in banking, and Mary Ann's earlier years were in teaching and as owner of Collins' Shoes in Grove City.
Both are active members of Leesburg ECO Presbyterian Church, Volant.
Responsible for this beautiful memory in Big Sky were their children, Julie and her husband, Pete, Wexford, and Michael and his wife, Jennifer, Volant. Their grandchildren, Gabriella, Nathan, Eliana and Lilyana, who served as their attendants at the ceremony, were responsible for keeping the surprise, and they certainly did a good job.
